Southern Europe, especially Spain, is one of the most interesting places in the world in terms of cultural diversity. A region where two continents practically touch each other, where two religious cultures converge, and where the need to share the gospel and make more disciples of Christ is imperative, makes it an ideal field for formation and service among the least-reached. The Campo de Gibraltar, where Algeciras is the most populous city and its port is one of the most important in Spain and the Mediterranean, is home of more than 100 nationalities, with a strong Catholic tradition and a growing Muslim population. Ceuta is a Spanish enclave in Africa, north of Morocco, a strategic location for ministering to the least-reached in a Muslim context. The Canary Islands, the Spanish archipelago is a place where many people come for a relaxing vacation, but it is also home to a young and growing evangelical church that could benefit from the presence of diligent workers preaching the gospel

STEP into MENA 2025
1-2 weeks pre-field training: Culture and You online training and etc. 12 weeks in-country training: •Unit 1: Trainees study the local dialect and receive basic training for service among the least reached in MENA, coached by experienced residing trainers. •Unit 2: Trainees go deeper into developing their language and cultural understanding as they build friendships. This time includes travels around the country. •Unit 3: Trainees receive mentoring while engaging deeper in the area of their interest, whether it be discipling seekers, art performance, travels, more focused language learning or preparing for long-term ministry in MENA. 3 weeks practical ministry: Participants will be helped to find a place to do at least 3 weeks of practical ministry within MENA or the diaspora. This should be completed by summer 2025. Those joining the artist track do their practical experiment with our Arts ministry.
