Operation Mobilisation (OM for short) has been operating since 1957, bringing practical help and real hope to people.
By sharing love with all people, we see a profound transformation that reaches not only individuals, but also entire communities and nations. We seek creative ways to act in different circumstances and cultural contexts, responding to deep needs, respecting the subjectivity and agency of those we serve. We are invariably inspired by the attitude of Jesus: deep compassion and concern for every person, regardless of background or baggage of experience.
"Our goal is the whole world!" - George Verwer, founder of OM
Operation Mobilisation (OM for short) is an international organization, active in 147 countries and on mission ships. We operate thanks to the involvement of more than 4,500 volunteers and specialists in various fields. In Poland, our intercultural team operates in the form of an Association, registered in Warsaw.
We organise humanitarian activities, self-help groups, medical missions, art and sports projects, and are involved in education and micro-entrepreneurship. We support people with refugee experience and those at risk of marginalization. We develop and establish Christian communities. We operate the world's largest floating bookstore on board our ship.
Each of us has been moved and transformed by the person and work of Jesus Christ. We are motivated by the desire that people from all walks of life and nations can experience the incredible love and hope that flows from the message of the Gospel. This same love motivates us to act and selflessly share our time and talents for the benefit of others.
OM has been present in Poland since 1964 - in various forms we serve local communities and mobilise Polish people to engage in projects at home and around the world. Thousands of people have joined us, and hundreds of millions have experienced practical love and discovered hope for their lives. However, we still have much to do. You too can be a part of this story!
